Which one is worse. This OR Cradle 2 The Grave

Romeo Must Die is just about OK in my opinion. There are some good bits like whenever Anthony Anderson is there cos I find him funny but then there are crappy fights in both films. In Cradle 2 the grave the fights were worse than this one and especially the end fight with Mark dacascos and Jet Li was a waste of two great martial artists. The director of both Andrej Bartowaik likes using special effects and wirework but that totally ruins the fights.

Jet Li should go back to doing films like Kiss of the Dragon and Danny the Dog which are his only two best American movies and his old Hong Kong movies which are so much better.

Cradle 2 The Grave sucks. Tom Arnold and Anthony Anderson had some good moments but the rest was crap. Waste of time, talent and money.

Who says violence is not the answer?

Cradle 2 the grave wins on the finish line, mainly because of Mark Dacascos and Tom Arnold. Both movies are great!

Wow, you're so cool. You think wire work sucks like all the other internet movie snobs. Well, if you actually knew what you were talking about, you would realize that ALL Jet Li Hong Kong movies, as well as Danny The Dog, utilize wire work. And Danny The Dog was made AFTER Romeo Must Die and Cradle To The Grave, so there is no need to go back, he's already there.
What typically ruins Hollywood or any kungfu/fight film is poor editing and poorly positioned cameras. Those 2 factors will ruin any excellently choreographed and enacted fight film.

I agree with you, people being overly critical is what ruins movies ITS ENTERTAINMENT NOT something you should sit and analyze. Everyone that thinks movies like this suck are just losers who are bitter that they aren't making movies because they r talentless and probably ugly and lonely losers who live in their parents basement.

I wouldn't say excused......more like not expected......so when it does happen, it's like, a bonus.

So we're comparing the two because Jet Li was in both of them right?

Because I am a big fan of 'Romeo Must Die' but I could spend all day pointing out the flaws in 'Cradle 2 The Grave.' None of which were Jet Li's fault. That movie was bad.

To say 'Romeo Must Die' was better than 'Cradle to the Grave' is like saying pizza is better than pig slop.

CRADLE 2 THE GRAVE WAS A TRAVESTY (with a title that makes no sense)

at least Romeo Must Die didn't take itself so seriously

my examples can't work for everyone :P

saying 'pizza is better than being attacked by a bear', would that be better? lol.

I find both o.k., not very good but better than some average "steven seagal" or Dolph Lundgren- Movies.

There's no background- storie or a deeper message in the two films, but the action and effects are very good planned and executed.

It's just a "martial arts master" and a rapper-star who fight against a bunch of bad guys and at the end win

a lot of bum bum and rap but no deeper motive

Cradle 2 the Grave is the worse one, as it shifts the focus too much to the black character. It should've been all centered on the awesomeness of Jet Li, like this one.

I know this is an old thread, but thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. The stupidity is overwhelming in both but the fights in "Romeo Must Die" are much better, especially the two Russell Wong are involved in, though they're still not all that great. Even worse than either are the fights from "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li". After 4 films that could be categorized as Martial Arts (let's not forget "Exit Wounds"), it's clear that Andrzej Bartkowiak couldn't film half-a-second of a baby spitting-up without wires and quick-cuts. Wires are fine. Wires used as abysmally bad as they are in any of AB's flicks is inexcusable.
