I swear to god Chris Rock is in this movie!
He made a cameo at the James Brown concert! Honestly... check it out.. rewind or whatever you'll see Chris Rock in the audience! =D=D=D=D

I've also notised that! I've hit rewind several times but I'm still not sure. He looks very young.

My father was crazy when we saw this movie, yelling out that Chris Rock was the guy in the audience at the concert! I would agree, but I'm pretty sure it isn't him, why would he randomly be in the audience in Liberty Heights? Imagine if it was him, haha. Awesome.
I have seen this film many times and am going to have to watch this again because I have never noticed this. Where does this person appear in the concert scene?
Rock was already an actor credited with supporting roles in major films at the time that this was made. He also had a tv show in his own name before this release. There's no way he would be in such a part and uncredited at that stage.
Well I was watching the movie on TV and reading the message boards simultaneously when I stumbled upon this post. After reading this I watched the concert scene with my eyeballs out and yo there he was - Chris Rock. It has to be him, the same smile, the same face.
shareI will admit that I have finally spotted the guy that everyone thinks is Chris Rock. He appears after what I believe is the first utterance of "party" in the concert song, and is in the center of the shot for a brief second, wearing a blue suit.
He looks a lot like Rock, but for reasons I've already mentioned, there's no way that it's him.
If Rock had any interest in appearing in this film, Levinson would have been better served casting him as Leon. Jones was a disaster in the role.
