best ship

My favourite, and the toughest is the 'Titan'. A corsair ship. You can get it from the corsair base in the Omega system. The only downfall of it is that the turret only fires backwards. The second toughest ship is the 'Sabre' which if memory serves me right is a Blood Dragons ship which has a turret that fires 360 degrees.

The Eagle is the best ship, because it is almost as strong as the Titan, but its more maneuverable.

i prefer freighters,and my favorite is the borderworld "Dromedary"

Best for what?
A lot depends on your style of play and whether you're against live players or NPCs.

Dromedaries are generally the best freighter.

Eagles are the most popular fighters as they take top level weapons and have the best manoeuvrability.
Sabres are tougher and are good for sliding attacks, particularly in Player vs Player (PvP) fights, but are more challenging to fly.
Titans are great for head-on fights, but suffer in dogfights.

Many players take on more challenging ships, too - Try a Dagger, Dragon or a Hammerhead.

On top of this, of course, it depends which weapons you equip. An Eagle with CODE weapons (level 10) firing Sunslayer torpedoes at a Dagger will get creamed, if the Dagger pilot knows how to use a Cruise Disruptor ;-)
