Zbigniew Rybczynski

According to some sources it was in fact Zbigniew Rybczynski, who directed "Angst". Gerald Karlg, it's just a pseudonym. He did it 'cause he was afraid for the reviews.

Being a fan of "Angst" for many years I am still thinking: is this true?

I think it was a team effort - Rybczynski wrote and part directed alongside Karlg.
Very brave film to make considering where and when the film was made. I place it above Hooper's TCM (or perhaps level with).

It isn't 'officially' confirmed (I read it at Trivia on his Page), but it makes perfect sense. Personally, I believe it's true.
The fact that Rybczynski did everything (writing, directing, photographing, editing) by himself is even more amazing/impressive. Hats-off!

To think that I'd never learn this if I didn't see his amazing short Tango (Oscar winner). This man has talents to spare.

He's a master craftsman... Too bad he didn't do any other full length films. Anyone see his animated film or know how I can?
