Regarding the influence on Gaspar Noe...

The areal shots in Enter The Void, the tunnel scene from (as well as the cyclical nature of) Irreversible, and the constant narration of I Stand Alone... I'm a huge Noe fan, but I'll be damn if he wasn't telling the truth when he said Angst was a huge influence on him. It's like he picked all his favorite things from this movie and then built an entire film around each of them. 
