Should make a show called 'that 90s show.'

About kids or teens in the 90s time period. That was a wonderful decade to grow up in as well. :)

Haha could be funny, but no way it could be as funny as That 70s Show

They tried That 80s show, and that flopped. I wouldn't be opposed to the idea, though.

I gave him my heart, and he gave me his fist

reply

that show flopped bc they forgot to focus on the characters 'just hanging out' and tried to push the trends of the era--like one of them tells his friend (and us) he is talking on a 'cell phone' Granted the thing is as big as a shoe and probably as heavy. But that 70's show did not announce 'hey I am using a microwave' etc and make it painfully obvious....you understood what they were doing just by watching.

reply

Just a question in theory since they could obviously never do this, would you want to see the same cast, and just call it "That 90's show" because it's 20 years into their future, or a new cast playing characters the same age as the characters on That 70's Show?

reply

Either, or both. Maybe kids of the old characters?

reply

They'd have to have new characters

That 70's show borrowed the formula happy days did in the 1970's itself---showing teens growing up and just hanging out 20 years earlier.

But it did not show the kids from happy days grown up. Got new characters

So it would have to be different people here too.

I want to see a show set in the 1930s and called 'that great depression show' and it can be about a bunch of kids who sit around and drink corn liquor all day instead of looking for work

reply

made me lol

reply

Those massive JNCO jeans from the nineties could be the source of endless jokes.

reply

That could work in the 2020s.

reply

I've still got socks from the '90s. It's too recent to be interesting as nostalgia. Besides, it would be mostly "ha ha look at them they have big, low-performance computers and no cell phones".

reply

They did one on 70s (watching on Netflix), and 80s, howabout That 60s show (they missed a good oppurtnity in the 0s for it..) or THAT FIFTIES SHOW!

reply

re that 50s show--it's called happy days

reply

THAT WAS a 70s and 80s show (when in doubt, consult Jump the Shark LOL) ONLY a 60s or 59s show in 1972-74! (WELL, a LOT in HAPPY DAYS sure were anachroisms belonging more to the 70s or 80s!)

reply

well "That 70's show" really wasn't completely set in the 70's either.

People noted that the chips in the diner used the current packaging....and not what was the design back in the 70's.

Kelso's hair is not feathered ala Travolta--yes men were feathered too. If Henry Winkler could pin his hair up in a very tight twist to play a greaser--who obviously did not have feathered hair....I am sure that Ashton Kutcher could have gotten his hair styled out

They put the 'license plates' at the end of the episodes to remind us it was supposed to be the 70's.

Happy Days WAS "that 50's show"
