Spinoff

I am a big fan of both King of Queens and Everybody Loves Raymond. But did it really need to be a spin-off? When King of Queens started, Everybody Loves Raymond was already in its third season. While Kevin James appeared in the first two seasons, he was a completely different character, another sportswriter that worked with Ray. He suddenly switches to Doug in Season 3. It doesn’t really make sense how Ray and Doug would know each other. Also while Ray and Doug appeared a few times in each show, Robert, Frank, Debra and Marie only made one appearance on King of Queens. And Carrie, Arthur, Deacon, Kelly, Richie, Spence, Danny. They all never made a single appearance on Everybody Loves Raymond. Idk, I never thought it needed to be a spin-off.

Interesting take

Frank and Arthur would have made for a good double act.
