The Stupidest Subject Matter

Arthur getting braces. Yeah. Like Doug and Carrie are going to drop several thousand dollars on braces for an elderly man. And he only had them in one episode.

And he only had them in one episode.

By the end of the episode, Arthur had grown "tired" of this new fad of his. And he began to sabotage the whole thing. (I believe he was eating taffy and chewing gum, etc.) So, it would make sense that he no longer has braces in subsequent episodes.

I thought the "Carrie's Bun" theme was a bit barrel-scraping. Still a lot of funny stuff in the episode, just a weak hook to hang a story on.

I actually liked the bun episode especially when Deacon told her how ugly it was and the whole tribute to the librarian who had the "bun" was hilarious.

I remember that episode- I liked it too.

It was super silly, but very funny.

reply

Deacon's exact quote:

That's ass-ugly, girl!

I loved the look on Carrie's face at that moment.

reply

Yeah the braces one And the one where Carrie isn't really her name was pretty dumb

reply

Why Miss Fryhauffer...you're beautiful!

reply

I was funny.
Coz that's the point of
The show.
That Doug is ridiculous over ridiculous things.

reply

The high school reunion with Adam Sandler was dumb to me, one of the worst IMO.

I also thought the braces was a low point.

reply

Bringing in Adam Sandler is rarely a good idea. In fact, he's usually the worst part in an Adam Sandler movie.

I always though it was stupid how Carrie, who was usually the financially responsible one, would want to give up a house that they paid a mortgage for to pay rent for a tiny Manhattan apartment.

Because being in Manhattan is the "cool place to be"....not Queens.

I've got in-laws who paid $1.25 million for a run-down 1,700-square-foot tract house in a drab neighborhood because it was so important to them to have a Los Angeles zip code and area code. They think of themselves as sophisticated urbanites and couldn't possibly ever live in a suburb or small town far from the Big City. Some people's priorities really are that distorted.

Doug and Deacon delivering penguins.

The episode where Doug takes a photo of his private parts and Danny gets blamed for it. Everybody treated Danny like a criminal and when it came out Doug had did it everybody just shrugged it off like it was no big deal.

Doug finding out his dog died many dogs before. And that he was Canadian.
