Well I'm not sure it's followup A Man Called Hero did well or not, but I don't get the impression that it did. However, there was a TV show in the Mainland, I think it might have gone for 2 seasons. It isn't great from what I've seen. Played in the states on AZN. And American film distrubitor seems to be releasing a compressed version on dvd.

well i remember seeing a storm riders soap, with english subtitles on a chinese channel, i think its the same as the dvd thing.

I saw that Wind and Cloud: The Storm Riders yesterday. Wow. It is simultaneously the best/worst movie I have ever seen. The editing job is mystifying. Seriously. I wonder where their Oscar nomination for best technical director is...?

I just received an ad from Tai Seng and apparently the Sequel is just being released on DVD...it's called "Wind and Cloud: The Storm Riders". It says it takes place 12 years after the last one.

i looked up the sequel here on imdb and it says it was made in 1988 and that it was a tv series... is this the right one, but they put the wrong year? http://imdb.com/title/tt0404680/

They're making an animated Storm Riders feature supposed to be released in 2008, I hear its more of a sequel to the live action movie than an adaptation of the comic book (I say that since the movie took a lot of liberties with the comic's plot). Here's some info about the movie:

I heard that too, Director Andrew Lau (Infernal Affairs 2002 ) said the screenplay is completed and ready for filming, He is planning to do a sequel soon, Maybe 2008 or 2009

there is also a chinese anime which is now showing in HK cinema's. the title is called The Storm Rider - Clash of Evil
