What the ?!?

When I first heard of this film I only read the following :

------------------------------------------------------
Title - Ringmaster
Movie features Michael Jai White and Michael Dudikoff.
------------------------------------------------------

So there I am looking forward to a great display of Martial Arts action on screen(with 2 of my fav martial artists) and Jerry "frickin" Springer pops up.

How annoyed did I want to be? VERY.

Rather unfortunate that they left off one of the people with the most screen time from that short list with which you were provided, Pele. I refuse to refer to him as either a leading actor or a main character. He is not and he has none.

Seriously...a movie about Jerry Springer and his Smut Showcase? Who gave that the green light, are they still employed in the industry, and if so, why?

Okay did you even bother to read what the movie was about before you wasted all of your money? You're the type of person who sees Man on the Moon thinking you're going to get a sci-fi action piece.

Whoa chill out, it was on TV one afternoon so no money was spent.

Same here, was quite dissapointed that neither Dudikoff nor Jai White had any fights in this movie. It sucked that Dudikoff didn't even appear on Jerry's show. Only the women had fights, which were the most girly chick-fights ever. It wasn't very good. "American Ninja vs. Spawn" turned into "The Beverly Hillbillies" instead.

But come on, this movie doesn't belong on the bottom 100, it's definently not *that* bad. I wasn't bored at all, and the story just showed what kind of people join these kind of shows in real life. If you don't like poor and/or stupid people, then of course you don't like this movie. But it stayed true to its origins still.

-- Can you, (or anyone else who saw this), tell me what Michael Dudikoff did in this film? I've never seen it, and everything I've read about it, --including the commentaries published on IMDb-- don't (or hardly) mention him at all.

-- I have a chance to pick up a factory-sealed DVD of the film for $7.00, and although that sum won't break me, I would be buying it ONLY to see Dudikoff.

-- I realize that this is not American Ninja, nor anything even close, but if he's on-screen for more than 10 or 15 minutes, I'll buy it.
-- If it's just a one-minute cameo, I'll probably pass it up.

-- BTW, I have nothing against Jerry Springer, but I don't watch his show --in fact, I've never seen it.-- I've only seen Springer as a guest on other, less controversial, talk shows.

Dudikoff's role is more than a cameo. I remember him being in a decent portion of the film, though he leaves before the end of the film when he gets fed up with the other characters' actions and bails out on appearing on Jerry's show with them. I remember him being one of the only "normal" characters in the show, who decides he doesn't want to embarrass himself on national television.

I was surprised when I saw the trailer for this movie in 1998 and spotted Dudikoff in it. I think the connection was that Dudikoff was a friend of one of the producers and had previously worked with him on another film.

This movie was frickin hilarious!!!!!

Damn!!! My posts attract so many nutty B-A-S-T-A-R-D-S!

I actually laughed by butt off. But it is probably because I live in a small rural town in Florida. Believe me, those trailer trash on that movie reminded me of the trash in my town.
