Although this film is cinematically total crap, it's at the same time a wonderful little kung-fu flick. I enjoy it very much and it has given me many hours of joy when trying to re-enact the best moments from the film or imitating the actors.
But the copy I get to watch is singing on its last verse and I wonder if anyone knows where to get hold of it? It's, as far as I know, not available on either dvd or vhs in the stores. Sad. Truly, sad.
Yeah its the same with my copy... I truly laughed hard at this movie especially at "Master ying" and the end fight sceen!! I have never seen somebody yelling their asses off before fighting! (The blond dude)

I have now seen the film and the thematic of greedy land-lords is most pertinent almost forty years later. I adore 1970s New York aesthetics, and whilst there is some on show here, the film makers wasted their incredible canvas.
This is a fun chop-socky movie and with the very limited resources available there is much to admire. I really enjoyed the chemistry between the two leads and there is much invention in the ways they go about doing what they do, I’m being vague here so as not to spoil anything for first time viewers like myself.
The Code Red DVD looks amazing for a film like this and yes the signature song fits nicely, recommended to existing fans and anyone like me obsessed with 1970s cinema.
