Ha! Wow, that's very well done for a fan film. They must really be passionate about this. I only hope we'll see the real deal some day [and not some animated CGI abomination, but a live-action movie].

’Cause there’s thunder in your heart... Every move is like lightning!

I actually got to see this at MAGFest 8. It was a very rough cut, so there were some special effects and sounds left out (or not completed yet), leaving for some hilarious moments. The guys who played Mega Man and Proto Man were solid, and I loved how the guy who played Dr. Wily really hammed it up.

On the other side, the girl who played Roll was really annoying. Like the kind of annoying where you hope they catch permanent laryngitis so you don't have to hear their voice anymore. The guy who played Dr. Light wasn't too great either.

All in all, it feels like it would make a great Saturday afternoon syndicated show (much like Xena and Hercules back in the day). It has a definite 1994 Fantastic Four vibe to it, but for a fan-made film it's great.

Yep, it's fully online now in full 93-minute form!

Is it good? Well, yeah it's pretty darn good. I can't consider it the greatest 'video game movie ever' since it's unofficial. But it's certainly a bold step in fanfilms with a budget well-spent, others usually show their cracks. The costumes and CGI Robot Masters are certainly what I'd picture them in live-action, whether big-budget or small. The plot defines the classic series well enough, and as you said, Dr. Wily's actor nailed it.

The problem is the pacing, a usual problem with fanfilms. The first 25 minutes sure took their time setting up the story, nothing much happening except the usual "These robots shall be used to help mankind!" "Naw, I'm gonna do evil stuff with them" banter you've heard in many sci-fi films, cartoons etc. Roll's bonding with Rock was also rather boring. Not to mention defeating all 6 Robot Masters (like that's a spoiler) at different intervals was a bit much.

But still, a very good achievement. Great music too, wish there'd been more 8-bit classic tunes in it.

Now I have three sequels. Ho ho ho.

Why not a Mega Man movie?

Their making every other comic book and video game into a movie.
