Graffiti story WAY off

Granted they did air the lady who was against it giving her opinion, but despite that, this story glorified these so called artists. As someone who grew up in NYC in the 70's let me tell you - it was ugly, ugly, ugly. The lady was right, you wanted to avoid the subways for this reason. And in the outer boros you saw them pass by all day on the elevated lines. Almost the entire inside and entire outside was covered in black inke letters, just people writing a name. Very little of it included drawings or was colorful. These so called artists they portrayed in this piece were a minor few. There is nothing whatsoever nostalgic about that aspect of that time except to those vandals they interviewed and maybe a small % of the general public.
