I have this on order right now from Amazon and will update once I've checked it out. I don't think it's going to be a hugely significant scene, or we would've heard about an actor's role being cut out. If I had to wager a guess, I think it might be the "Serpent!" scene with the bird. It's the only scene from the first book not covered in this film.

A part of me wishes that it's a Looking Glass scene since the film will feel a bit more balanced that way. As it is, it follows the first book fairly closely 3/4 of the way, then it veers off into tangents from the second book for 20 mintes. If I had to choose a Looking Glass scene for them to throw in, I'd like to see the Lion and the Unicorn, but again, I don't think it's going to be anything as noteworthy as that.

Can anyone report back on the differences between the 1999 Lionsgate & the 2010 Rhi Special Edition? Has it been remastered, extended or special features added?

One thing is weird, on Amazon it says the new Special Edition is 'widescreen', but it goes on to list the aspect ratio as 1.33:1. Also despite Wikipedia saying the new version has 5 extra minutes, Amazon lists both versions as 150 min long. What gives? Same product, different box?
