Totally.. and its not as well known as other big anime films, shame that.
But yeah who agrees this is an underrated film? deserves more credit IMO.

No, I disagree. It's not underrated. The plot doesn't really make much sense if you think about it and the whole concept is just a bit stupid. The action is amazing, even by Anime standards, but if you're going to compare it to classic Anime films like GITS or Akira, then that's a waste of time because the story in this is just rubbish.
It doesn't make much sense, it's convoluted and got more holes than swiss cheese and there's literally no development whatsoever. The problem is they tried to fit a huge manga series into one film and also tried to squeeze the story in as well. They had to make a few sacrifices and as a result, the narrative suffers. I still think the chase through the Middle Eastern markets is one of the best animated scenes I've ever seen though.
