It is not set in Kashmir!!!
It is set in Assam.....i thought that was obvious....
shareOnly some part of the movie is set in Assam as it depicts the North East terrorists (ULFA) in India. Did not talk much about it though as the story gradually moved along to Ladakh and then to Delhi. The mood of the movie, however is brilliant.
thats me in the corner.........Mayur
I didnt think the film was set in Kashmir but I couldnt tell where it was set. I guess I dont really know much Indian history or politics.
shareYes it true,
Most of the reviews done by muslims give wrong info ,they say that the movie is set in kashmir, but its actually set in Northeast India. Manisha's name in the movie is Meghna, not Meharunnisa.

Yes Dil Se deals with hindu terrorism and terrorists just like Parzania
shareYes Dil Se deals with hindu terrorism and terrorists just like ParzaniaHuh? Dil Se deals with terrorism by Northeast separatists, not "Hindu terrorists." Nice try. share

Lol, is this your attempt to do damage control for Muslims by trying to find terrorists of other religions? Nice try, but neither Hitler nor Northeast Indian separatists perform terrorist acts in the name of religion.
shareGreat what about the terrorists Modi and Dara Singh didn't they kill innocent Muslims and Christians in the name of religion. Lolz it seems that you are turning a blind eye towards the Hindu terrorists, and the Gujarat Genocide.
shareDara Singh? That's not a Hindu surname. As for Modi, I don't recall him actually killing Muslims in the name of Hinduism.

truthy (dude you need to change your username).
Please stop posting religious hatred messages.
The movie depicts NORTH EASTERN STATES!
For a portion of the movie, Amar (shah rukh's character) travels to Ladhak for a festival and spots Meghna there as well. Then their bus breaks down and they end up in a monastery. But the conflict depicted in the movie pertains to North Eastern region.
If you happen to see the reviews on Amazon, you will be amazed at how most people writing there think it is about Kashmir.
