Along came a spider book was released before the book Kiss the Girls so i would assume that even though Kiss the Girls film was made before, that is the sequel

In the book Kiss the Girls is written a few years after Along Came a Spider, the children are older and there are references to his previous Sonjie case.

Knew they were related, but I had thought that Spider was the sequel. Interesting.
