Audio Commentary

I have only just finished watching the first three documentaries (7Up, 7+7 and 21Up) today on DVD, however there were no commentary tracks for these films unfortunately.

I am wondering if there are commentary tracks for any of the other films?

I live in Australia, but am also curious about the DVDs in other parts of the world too.

Thanks

"42Up has an Excellent commentary."

I appreciate having any commentary at all. However I wish the audio was turned down like like other commentaries. It was really hard to hear the director over the other voices.

I also wish Apted would have kept talking through the whole film. We don't need to hear the rest of each interview because we watched it already! And if he thinks we are viewing for the first time, why would we want to if we missed the first half of the interview in the first place? It was weird. It was like he didn't understand how these things work. Or maybe he just didn't feel like talking and was playing dumb! ; ) I'm onto that guy. He's always so sneaky!

In my case, nickel, if you are dead, someone smoking a cigarette, was his mother.

Yes, I agree with TracesOfLove. I had a hard time hearing Apted's commentary so I turned it off. I hate when people doing commentary talk in hushed voices or they stop talking to watch the movie.

I have watched 7 through 42 that was put out as a box set by First Run Features. While it is an excellent series, there are hardly any extras aside the hard-to-hear commentary on 42 Up. Some of the chapters have 10 or so still photos and Apted's bio but that is it. No outtakes or deleted scenes or even explanations of participants who have dropped out.

The transfers are not really that great but it kind of adds to the feeling of passing years. I am hoping someday some company will spend some money and put out a better box set.
