Anyone watch this movie so often they think they know the characters...

... by this point I feel like I am watching a documentary of my family.

I apologize for grammatical errors- a side effect of IMDbing on my iPhone.

Yep, my husband and I watch it so often that we do feel like we know the actors and really want to now know are they really singing the songs. Somehow the voices seem to fit the actors speaking voices and we think they're really singing some of the songs.

Agreed! But I think that the actors actually did their research on the characters they portrayed (watching interviews, video, etc.). Because Terron Brooks sounds just like Eddie when he speaks and sings, even looks wise sometimes.

The writers sure did their best to make The Temptations sound like a dysfunctional family. I think the writers took quite a few liberties with said storyline. I'm sure the group members had their share of setbacks. Yes, this movie does remind me of my own family at times.

Seriously, to the point that I think Leon is really David Ruffin.

I watched this move SO many times that I started to think of the actors as the real group. Then I bought a DVD, a "best of" The Temptations appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show.

My first thoughts were, "Gee these guys are almost as good as The Temptations in the biopic." lol
