'Based on a Story'
At the beginning or somewhere in the movie they said this movie was based on a story. i'm guessing something written in the renascaince. anyone know what the story was?

This is a huge parody on how Ted Turner's Time Corporation merged with AOL and Warner Brothers back in the late 90's to form AOL-Time Warner, Inc. Note all of Salazar's time references, and how "Tick-Tockia took over Warnerstock".
Nothing to do with the Renaissance, or European folklore whatsoever.
