Saw it on IFC

I hate short films. I flip channels to avoid them. But this one was just fantastic. I wanted to look up when it's on again but IFC's website is horrible when it comes to searches - you have to read the schedule for the entire month/day/week to find something again.

I'm the same way... avoid most short films. I thought this one was amazing. I was only able to find a few clips on YouTube about it. Wish I knew where to get it otherwise.

Good News- It's on again IFC June 24th at 4:10 EDT.

I sent them a nastygram about it as well and didn't even receive the courtesy of a reply. Then I wrote and said I wouldn't vote for them on the Webbies because they won't publish a full next month's schedule in advance (and are very lax about updating that partial month ahead) and because of the search capability.

Again, no response. For a website that claims to be aware and progressive, they sure don't give two hoots when we're unhappy.

Oh, and let's not forget the last-minute schedule changes and the dropping-out of programs that are scheduled... ("Flakes" is a perfect example...scheduled for a few showings in one month and never appeared.)

You summarized it perfectly!

I also wrote about not publishing the next months schedule in advance and received exactly what you did....NOTHING!

The last couple of years that website is total CRAP! I remember when they used to have a full month schedule well in advance of the previous month and their search for films actually worked. I don't know what happened but apparently they don't give a damn!.

Just curious - how do you feel about all of those 30-minute documentaries/reality shows they have going on? I can't stand the things - would be completely happy if they went back to showing movies/tv shows that were independent/foreign. Now I keep seeing those horrible program that bore me to tears. I have no interest in watching "Z-Rock" whatsoever. And the "Interactive Achievement Awards" - what the hell is that and why is it on IFC? No one else will show it? (I hate anime and wish they'd leave it to the Cartoon channel on Saturday night, but I don't suppose they'll yank those, either.) But "The IFC Media Project" and "IFC Film Blast" and "IFC Web Blast" - seems like the projected audience are the people making those kind of things... forgetting that we, the audience, are not interested in them.

Just curious what you think.

Your preaching to the choir my friend!

I'm just like you- Give me the damn movies and cut out all that other crap! I don't mind how many times they show repeats of films just so there is enough to pick and choose from.

Sent them some nastygram emails about it and no response. Interestingly, I was screened for a panel to review Sundance Channel programming - not sure why I was disqualified... they don't say. You have to tell them your age, salary, usual crap and then they asked how many times a month you watch Bravo, IFC, History Channel, etc. I don't watch Bravo EVER and I love History Channel International but I rarely watch Showtime and HBO (only Showtime Showcase and HBO Signature)... well, you get the drift.

And the end of the day, they decided they didn't want my opinions. Perhaps I am not young nor hip enough. Or perhaps they only want reality show addicts (which leaves me out.)

Interesting, no?

Just saw this - wow, loved it. Interesting concept, well-written and insightful portrayals of the "characters", well-done, foreboding background music and great footage. I love creative uses of old footage like that, something about the way it looks is just so magical (albeit in an appropriately dark and disturbing, if often darkly funny way here).
