The thing that puzzled me the most

Why the hell didn't Sebastian HIMSELF try to find a way to make him visible again? He was supposed to be the mastermind of the group, the one that originally discovered the way to "bring them back", so wouldn't it be only natural that he'd continue to better the formula in order to make himself visible again? Yet he does nothing but bitches while being invisible. Otherwise the movie was entertaining but a bit silly.
