hmm.. about Angela's father (spoiler)

Having seen the show except for episode 22, I must say it's a very messy show (if it weren't for the beautifull Brooke Langton I propably wouldn't have watched the show so many episodes).
Now to IMHO item which should go under 'goofs'..
In episode 17 we see Angela getting some very important information from/about the bad guys, at the end we see a page from the information of the bad guys about her father, with the message he is deceased. BUT in episode 14 "Lucy's Life", Trelawny put up a picture online of Angela's parents with Lucy's mother just to get angela to go after it and try to find out where the whereabouts of her father is. he actually says something like "I put the picture online so she can lead us to his location".. So if they already knew her father was dead, why did they need to find out his location?

IMHO her father faked his death and so the information in computer system are false. I guess Trelawney figured that out and knew that keeping Angela alive makes him closer to catch her father.

Either that, or Trelawney found Angela's father without her help and eliminated him.

There are a lot of discontinuities and things that were not explained. For instance, what happened to that nice yellow BMW convertible car she got at the end of ep. 4 "Bulls and Bears"?
