The priest? who is he and what was he all about

As above, I dont understand where he comes in the story. I also dont understand how he was already carrying a grenade with him when Sukamotos men are at that old mans house. When first watching the movie i actually thought he was the Angle of Death.

Could someone please shine some light on this, cheers

aah thanks matey, was a little unclear id say. Personally was thinking he was the old mans guardian angle lol, looking out for intruders

When I first saw got this movie, I thought that was Bruce Campbell.

The priest was another contract killer who who wanted to kill the old man. The Tsukamoto's manager was giving information to other contract killers and one of them was there to kill the old man, just like jet li and his agent.
