Not to say that the old series regulars couldn't return if the show was brought back, but if it were a whole new set of comedians, who would you have on? I'm thinking Rainn Wilson and Donald Glover would be a lot of fun to watch… and hey, if Community ends up getting canned, let's get Alison Brie on too! Jason Segel would be hilarious and do really well at the song games.
Hooray! I'm glad I'm not the only one who has asked this.
A few years ago, I was hoping that the Whose Line cast members would move to a skit segment-laden show like "Saturday Night Live" or "MAD TV" but the latter ended up getting cancelled and the former would probably end up being too up-and-down for some of the Whose Line cast's preferences due to having to follow more censorship rules, being scripted or too predictable for some.
Anyway, if they actually can get the network to stop wimping out, I say go ahead with your suggestions as those comedians are great in anything.
* Then we could get some stand-up comedians like: Denis Leary, Larry King, Louis C.K., Margaret Cho, Chris Rock and Lewis Black.
and then ...
* Get a few more of the "MAD TV" guys who have done some clever sitcom work like: Will Sasso, Phil LaMarr, Nicole Sullivan, Michael McDonald & Aries Spears.
I'm sure there's more we can add on to either guest-star or be a recurring comedian who appears occasionally like Whose Line's Jeff Davis, Brad Sherwood or Greg Proops.
