Fave House Robot?

They were all ace but my faves have to be Shunt and Killalot.

Shunt was able to do some serious damage with his axe, I don't think any of the contestants came up with an axe to rival his. He was pretty durable too, perhaps only vulnerable to flippers. I remember one episode where he totally dismantled Hypnodisc.

Sir Killalot - well, he was just a bad ass, a great addition to the show. Pretty much indestructible and once he decided the fight was over, it was over. Perhaps his only weakness was his poor manouverability, and the fact that Sgt Bash repeatedly set him on fire lol.

Matilda and Death Metal were cool but their saws only ever did surface damage to the contestants, and they didn't seem to be built as sturdily as Shunt. Matilda pretty much got trashed in every battle! Bash was pretty useless unless one of the contestants was flammable and he nearly always ended up getting flipped.

I can't think of any others off the top of my head...there was the ref-bot I guess, he didn't really do much, but he was useful when he could give the robots a nudge that got stuck on the side-wall for example.

Dead metal...awesome weapon...woulda been better if the saw had a little more movement it could cut deeper

Si Vis Pacem, Parabellum.

Dead metal was my favourite the only problem with him was that from series 6 onwards he developed this annoying habit of bringing the saw down touching the robot and then retreating it immediatey which is why it didnt do as much damage. During series 3 4 and 5 it would come down and the bore into the robot and cause a lot of damage. Series 6 the claws werent as powerful as in previous years either. A brilliant house robot but unfortunately the show was more interested in making new house robots than improving the good ones.

Sgt Bash was great the flamethrower did become faintly redundant after a few years but still looked great and the claws were consistantly punishing

Shunt was great too in series 3 he hardly ever got taken on by competitors yet in series 7 he was the most picked on. Another example of a great robot that as far as improvments went was ignored and as suffered as a result

Matilda I liked as well, the first few series she was the most picked on I didnt really like the addition of the flywheel but it stopped her getting picked on as much.

Sir killalot I liked but I did think they hyped him up a bit too much like in series 5 Weaknesses: None except flammability exposed tracks no rear weapons exposed electronics. The pincers in series 2 and 3 caused more damage than the jaws of life later used because these were almost the size of a robot it couldnt cut an entire robot in half

Growler liked the look the jaws didnt do a great deal of damage the main damage came from the 20 MPH that once split a robots chassis in two. The flamethrower at the back was entirely pointless as SGT Bash had one and flammable robots at this stage of the competition was very rare.

Mr Psycho was too much like killalot and too overhyped the claws might have been effective but we never found out because the way they were designed made it difficult to get hold of an opponent the hammer didnt do half as much damage as the commentator made out

Cassius chrome looked pretty cool but didnt do a lot of damage

Dead Metal for me(series 3 onwards). He only ever got flipped once, had the most powerful circular saw in the entire series and never got damaged or broke down.

I taught you everything you know, but not everything I know.
