Mirage, where are you?

I'm watching some of the episodes on YouTube. It is weird that Mirage rarely makes an appearance and when we see her drawn in the background (as the other COPS talk to each other), she never says a word.

Was the voice actor cut out? Quit? Fired?

Not sure how it worked with the COPS toy line... but most of the 80's toy shows I remember were 'weak' on female characters and even weaker on those toys for those characters (remember the Cops and Crooks both had very deep 'rosters' but Each side only had 2 women depicted on the show...

My guess is that with few if any 'Mirage' Toys the writers were instructed to down play her role in the show... as COPS was essentially a 30 minute commercial for the toy line, why advertise what you cannot sell

I've been watching the DVDs and the out of order case numbers got me thinking so I started tracking the numbers, and added the featured cop/crook to the list for the heck of it... as of Ep48 I'd say she's got 4-5 featured episodes which actually puts her up on Sundown, Barricade and a few others

Hasbro never released any figures for the female C.O.P.S. characters. The Transformers, Visionaries, and Inhumanoids cartoons also had token female characters that weren't released as toys. It was probably because the toy lines were aimed at boys and Hasbro thought that female action figures would sell poorly.
