That #%#$@#$ plot twist! (spoilers)

I usually don't mind "it was all a dream" twist, but here, I felt ripped off. The movie is pretty much completely pointless now and hasn't got any kind of payoff other then the cool music at the end. The dream leads to nothing despite building itself up a lot to this nothing.
