This movie is awful.The director is bad the plot is bad and the actors are very very bad.Julia Roberts is sooo overrated,she has no talent at all.Why do people like her?And she got an Oscar???Oh my God!

Must agree with u Puke, this is a lousy movie by any standards.
Julia Roberts is a shocking actress, but you don't need to be a great actress to win an Oscar, heck Halle Berry, Helen Hunt and Gwyneth Paltrow all won one.

One of the worst movies ever. Julia Roberts is a good actress, but in this one her perfomance is forgettable. Richard Gere is too old for romantic comedies, he should do more thrillers.

Richard Gere is not romantic comedy material anymore, too old.
Julia Roberts is way overrated, there are better actors than her.

well i think Richard Gere can still do a romantic - just not with Julia Roberts - there was no chemistry - I felt nothing... it felt all wrong!

This review is probably the result of a young and immature mind. Obviously,Richard Gere is NOT TOO old. Julia Roberts is a favorite with fans and this movie role indicates why. Everyone is entitled to their opinion,of course, but this just sounds like prejudice against anyone over the age of 40 in the case of Gere. There are alot of romantic people over the age of 40. Sad that you don't realize it.

I agree with gevvy. And I think this film is great; its funny and harmless and Julia Roberts acts really well. No offence, but if some of you people hate it so much, then why did you look it up? Just to complain?

I think maybe all you need is a really romantic story in your life!!! This movie is adorable, funny, Julia is the queen of the romantic comedies, and Richard stills looking so handsome!!

well said. this movie, just like pretty woman is to make the person watching smile. I love romantic comedies and this movie is very funny and so adorable. i LOVE IT. and i LOVE JULIA ROBERTS :D

because otherwise the message boards would only have posts on them like "i loved it" or "this is the best movie ever". i don't know about you but i consider differences in opinion to be something great. this film is only mediocre and some people will state the (debateable) truth, get over it or give REASONS why you believe otherwise.
