Very Good Film
I'm surprised there's no postings for this movie but I'll more than happy to be the first to give it some recognition... Great job by the actresses and the scenery of Central Queensland was fantastic!

but i really LOVE this film heaps
I fell in love with this movie the first time I saw it. It took a while to find a DVD of it but I finally got it.
It is a wonderful movie and the acting was great. I am an American but I am finding more and more that the Australians have us beat in making really good movies. If you love this movie, try "Rabbit Proof Fence" and "Careful, He Might Hear You". Those are wonderful movies, too.
The only scene in this movie that I thought a bit 'off the mark' was the scene in which Crissy is waiting at the airstrip. When Mae and Nono come back for her, she looks a bit silly in the way she is standing there staring in the other direction as she hears them drive up. It didn't look 'natural'. But, heck, it's still a terrific movie.
