Unlike the idiot

Who posted a review of this movie without having watched it, I'll say that I viewed the film, laughed quite a bit, but think that you have to know the area of Georgia if you really want to appreciate it - or at least think that rural America is funny on its own without embellishment. A low budget attempt at chase scenes actually comes off okay. Characters not really developed, but who cares, they're just on the run. I like the corrupt local cops - fairly accurate - and lawyers.

Like taking a crap in the middle of a church, but without the glamour.

There are some realy good stunts in this film. I was surprize a picture like this could afford them. The story and acting are low end but they just serve as a setup for the fequent action and stunt sequences

Amen to your comment. It reminds me why I normally don't read a subjective word posted on IMDB.

I really have to admit bafflement at the general negative tenor of the reviews for this film here on the IMDb. There are many, many other movies in the 'redneck/car chase' genre that are far, far worse than this one (I would include, say, Burt Reynolds' "Gator," for example).

I guess a lot of one's reactions to a film (or any other work of art) have a lot to do with the expectations one brings to said work. I came at this one somewhere near zero and got far more than I expected. It's not William Wyler's "The Heiress," but it's not trying to be, and that's plenty good enough for me.
