An absoute waste ...

Whatever the cast and production got paid for this one I hope it was worth it. Burt Reynolds wants me to believe that he is so tough. He may be but tough cop going against organized crime is soooo overused. The plot is compellling and the acting throughout is ok. The most interesting scene was when he is getting his but kicked by some mob tough guys. Instead of using a baseball bat or some such pain inflicting bone breaking device they decide to use their fists (boring). Then Reynolds kicks one of tough guys in the groin. And somehow the same tough guy ends up with whiplash. Before that scene is finished you have the two tough guys laid out and Reynolds walking away with a couple of broken ribs. Yes he walks away with ribs broken and somehow makes it to his buddies place.
And Hard Time actually had a sequel that was also a waste of a movie ... Hard Time: Premonition.
As movies go this one wouldn't make any of my lists.

Agreed.. The described plot was way off.. Did not add up or even make sense... He never went to prison.. He went to jail and sat in a holding cell and got bailed out.. There was no escape.. What a waste of 90 minutes. FALSE ADVERTISING a movie like I've never seen before.. It was THAT bad..
