I think Hanging Up was very endearing and presented a very realistic portrait of a broken family. I loved it, personally. I would definately recommend it.

i just watched it yesterday for the first time and i thought that it was hilarious! they all play off of each other very well, and it had a lot of great lines and memorable moments. you should definately see it.

Husband bought me the DVD, finally watched it today. What a waste of my time and his money. I did not find anything endearing or funny about this movie. What was with the stupid flowers any way. I mean how many times did they show her fussing with the flowers in the vase. Plus how did they get on the table from the dresser?

Horrrriible movie. Comedy portions = unfunny. "Poignant" moments = forgettable. Very poorly conceived movie and a waste of interesting actors. Keaton is a better actress than director.

Craptastic. Full of cliche' "never happens in real life but we're gonna keep shoving the idea down your throat" scenes such as: "We're having a flour fight in the kitchen! Tee hee!" I think the most disappointing thing of all was the performance of Lisa Kudrow. I accepted that both Keaton and Ryan were one note songs a long time ago (Keaton playing characters that have a nervous hissy/blow-up somewhere in the movie and, Ryan playing the cutesy 'America's Sweetheart' role despite that it is no longer appropriate for her age) but, I've come to respect Kudrow. She's done a lot of solid work outside of 'Friends' playing chracters not at all like Pheobe Buffet. I guess that's why I was a little surprised to see an almost Pheobe cloned performance in this stinker. Oh, Lisa!

watch it man. don't listen to the negative reviews. people who hated this movie have no family, lacks the ability of having a suspension of disbelief, lacks a sense of humor and has no heart. If you like heartwarming and ispirational yet little bit unrealistic movies try this out. But if your just a party pooper then don't watch this.
