Well I've been doing a little digging since I read that and this is the best I could find.

-The ABC children's television show Bump in the Night made numerous references to Harryhausen.

-The Pixar film Monsters Inc.(2001) features a restaurant called Harryhausen's.

I wouldn't call that a reference to bump in the night but it's the only thing I can find through google.

Plus, aren't the main characters from monsters inc. green and blue? The green one is round, with skinny legs and arms. On the other hand, the blue one is big, thick. I find them slightly related to their shapes and such...
