Fun, But Needed Better Screenplay

The acting was strong. Emily Watson gave an impressive performance in the title role. The screenplay, however, was weak, and especially so near the end. The disjointed plot devices in the second scene at the club seemed to be thrown in as filler. It was a fun movie, but in the end it does not deliver on its potential.
