During the movie Diana finds her Mom unresponsive in her bed. We automatically know she died suddenly in her sleep and I wanted to know how? I have the movie on DVD and I have rewinded it numerous times to see if they said how she died and they have not said anything..thanks

Actually, it was Willie's wife Ernestine who died, not Luke's. When Flora and Diana are talking about that time together in the present, Diana says something along the lines of she couldn't believe her mother had a heart attack so young. I teared up quite a bit at that part and at other parts, too. This was a very moving, uplifting film.
