...Harry and Sheriff Dent had actually gotten together in the end. Dent was way hotter than the woman Harry so called fell for. But thats just my little ole opinion.

I think the cops pairing was nice and unpredictable.

Zahn's character was a sexually-mute thug, he just'softened', started to care for the girls, and got laid. Pretty shallow. A hard man with a bruised heart would have been better than Zahn's trailer trash caveman routine. His coupling with the teacher was only challenging because she didn't like swearing - wow. Where was tension between them anyway>?

Northam was about as complex as a broom. If he had been more of a sleazy conman then his being romantically thwarted, or *really* conflicted by their position, and forced to sacrifice - rather than the lame excuses for an 'exciting' final scene the half hour watching him drink mint julips and swan about might have been justified.
