wether people think this movie is under or overrated . does it really matter ?
what matters is that this kind of films will always attract its own audience ,the kind of people that look for weird , cool ,and unconventional type of stories . i thought the thora birch rocked in this movie and its very haunting in its own way ,
I've seen this movie enough to study many aspects of it, you know, the characters, the props, filming, and of course the meaning.
My conclusion is if someone underrates it, they just didn't get it, be that as a story or as something they could relate to. And frankly, I don't relate well with the people that don't relate to it!
I love every single existential slice of it.
I recommended Ghost World to a friend and he said he didn't laugh once. I lost a little respect for him.
i think i know excatly what you mean . its like people who cant get the randomness of the story and the characters .cant enjoy the film and wont like such genre . its ashame thora birch didnt star in more films i ve seen most of her work and i think she is so underrated as an actor and she can do much better .bottomm line i love this movie and how the story can haunt u for along time

He would not get this movie, except maybe since he was a high school teacher, he might recognize something in the girls and he might laugh at the Sidewinder scenes, but I doubt he would think about after it was over and wouldn't want to see it again.
