Ileana Douglas is a goddess in my eyes for this role alone!

The up-its-own-butt art class/teacher were hilarious, but I cringed hard at the parts where she put down stuff like cartooning. She can't recognize that this is something that speaks to these kids and that just because they aren't putting tampons in teacups, it doesn't mean they don't feel something important about the art. What bugs me about that is that I know teachers like that, who are just crushing kids' love of art forms by being pretentious and exclusionary - and who inevitably pride themselves on being open-minded and "accepting". It drives me distracted that there are kids who could be growing up with a deep fondness for art but who are having that (potential) love stripped away by myopic maniacs with only one worldview.
