I thought it was hilarious. The kid was just too funny. Even his slimy uncle was funny. Too bad the DVD costs $26.

{Trivia: Some of the 'Brooklyn' scenes were filmed on Staten Island about a mile from where I live. While they were filming it some crabby people wouldn't move their late-model cars out of camera view. Jason Alexander asked these people very nicely to cooperate but some just wouldn't, so he edited their cars out digitally!}

I definitely agree. If you liked this, see Little Manhattan.

Jason Alexander - who knew?? He needs to make more movies.

Yes, it is a gentle humor based on innocence and curiosity. I missed the opening credits and didn't know it was Jason Alexander's work. Perfect casting, writing, pacing, scenery, cars, deserves cult classic status at least. Maybe the title should have been Summer of '52, eh?

I miss Big Band music and talented singers. Leonard Cohen is my idol. Civility, harmony, unity!

Its funny, I enjoyed it. And Gretchen always looks great in her movies. Also check her out in An American Affair which takes place in the 60s. She looks really good in those older style clothes. But Just Looking is a surprisingly funny movie. I like how it takes real life situations and makes them quite funny. Too bad most comedies aren't like this.
