Was Chris Noth cockblocking?

He shows up to talk to Chuck, saying it's been difficult for Kelly but when Chuck looks out the window he sees Kelly wanting to go to him and Noth stopping her.

I think Noth was afraid of Kelly seeing Chuck again and getting back with him. So he was trying to dissuade her.

reply

Yeah definitely. But I don't believe she would've gotten back with him since they had a kid together and all.

So what? The kid is so young that its the least problem (my parents got divorced when i was 3 years old, no problemos).

You think its healthy that they stick together because of the kid, even though she most likely gonna be unhappy, and in the worst case depressed? What about him, he knows that she loves Chuck more than him, how insecure would he be after a few months?

Think of it this way. Their whole marriage is based upon Chuck being dead. He knew Chuck through his dentist friend, that means he probably knew about their relationship long before Chuck disappeared. Now that Chucks back, the baseline of their marriage is shattered. If it was me in that situation i would have told my wife to follow her hearth, and not "logic".

Even if they stick together because of the child. What happends if they get a divorce for other reasons down the line? Who do you think Helen would hit up first? She will be on the phone/facebook or whatever straight away contacting Chuck. Lets just hope in that situation that he is single, because what do you think will happend if he has a wife, and a kid aswell?

..and on that bombshell.. Goodnight!

I don't think any of that is the point. You're making a lot of assumptions about their relationship. Who's to say that her entire marriage was based on the fact that she thought Chuck died? Maybe she actually loved the man and was happy. You're automatically assuming that now she will be miserable and depressed for the rest of her life and that now her marriage would be doomed to fail because Chuck came back. If she's happily married and moved on with her life years ago, maybe she'd want to let the past be the past and continue with her life as things were.
