Suggested Casting.

If they made a "7th Guest" movie, who would you want to see cast?

Here are my suggestions:

Martine Burden - Uma Thurman
Edward Knox - John Lithgow
Elinor Knox - Kathy Bates
Julia Heine - Meryl Streep
Brian Dutton - Ralph Fiennes
Hamilton Temple - Terry O'Quinn (Locke from 'Lost')
Tad - Cameron Bright (the creepy kid from 'Birth')
Henry Stauf - Gary Oldman

What do you think?

I like Lithgow as Knox. Kathy bates is a maybe for me cause she plays alot of "not weak" woman in movies. Elinor is the type that needs Edward to survive.

Also, im sorry, but Gary Oldman is not nor ever could be Henry Stauff. The role of Henry, in my opinion, has already been set so well by the original actor from both 7th and 11th. If the original actor is still of an age to do the role, I would say use him. You only need his voice and him for a few shots.

As for Uma playing Martine...no. Martine is a valuptious 1930's NY ex-starlet type and she needs to be played by an actress who can do that. Not thin, gonna gut you with my samuria sword Uma.

Terry O'Quinn has a Temple-esque look to him, but he is more of a strong character type and im not sure he could pull off Temple's eccentricities. Maybe the guy who played Mark Twain in the 2-part ST:TNG episode. He played old and eccentric pretty good. Looked like an older Temple to boot.

Cameron Bright could work, however I will say that he is the token "creepy kid" character in a lot of movies...and he is bald a lot in roles too. I would leave it open for a more endearing kid who can pull of scared and trapped in a house since Tad wasn't really creepy.

Dutton's casting seems like it could work. Fiennes is very versitle.

Im hesitant to agree with Meryl Streep but with the right make-up and hair, I think it could work pretty good.

Angelina Jolie would be a good casting choice for Martine... Just my opinion

If they made The 7th Guest into a movie, here's who I would chose to play the characters:

Christopher Plummer (Henry Stauf)
Eva Longoria (Martine Burden)
Dianne Wiest (Elinor Knox)
John Lithgow (Edward Knox)
Betty White (Julia Heine)
Charles Shaughnessy (Brian Dutton)
Terry O’Quinn (Hamilton Temple)
Cameron Bright (Tad Wilson)

couldn't be any better than that. what you people think?

i actaully thought that it WAS John Lithgow at first when i played 7th guest. He looks so much like him.

I agree with your cast choice except for Stauf. Personally, I think Steve Buscemi would play an EXCELLENT derranged Stauf.

I think Gary Oldman would be better suited for that role. :)

Martine Burden - Catherine Zeta-Jones
Edward Knox - John Lithgow (agree with everyone else on that one)
Elinor Knox - Diane Wiest
Julia Heine - Glenn Close (can't think of a better choice for bitter, alcoholic, half-crazy Julia than the actress who gave us Alex Forrest)
Brian Dutton - should be played by a good character actor, someone like a John Turturro or Vincent D'Onofrio
Hamilton Temple - Oliver Platt
Tad - Don't care, the majority of child actors are interchangeable as far as I'm concerned
Henry Stauf - Peter O'Toole
