WHO PAYS THE FERRYMAN

Hi All,

I recall watching this in the late 1970's and would love to get my hands on BBC videos or DVD if one exists, any help or advice?

My wife and I purchased the book entitled "Who Pays the Ferryman?" during a stay in Crete a few years ago. We have noted that there was an eight episode series on British TV in 1977 on the story of this book.

Does anyone know where one might be able to find these episodes in either VHS or DVD format?

Has Dutch subtitles that can be removed - hopeing that DDHE will issue the complete series soon in the UK - they do some fantastic reissues of old BBC drama with lots of extras.

Commenting on what ianjharris posts - " - hopeing that DDHE will issue the complete series soon in the UK - they do some fantastic reissues of old BBC drama with lots of extras." - DDHE (now directing to new site Simplyhe) still does not have either this or The Lotus Eaters available, regrettably. Looks like I might have to get these the same way I got The Snow Goose, from thebox.bz

I'm with you, Bob! My wife and I became hooked on it when we were living in Heerlen, Limburg Province, The Netherlands. I was assigned there as a US MP Customs Inspector with 42d MP Group (Customs) out of Mannheim, Germany. It was a very good show; I'm told you can order it through a British company but can't find that company.

It's possible to order the official Dutch DVD release (Region 2, with removable Dutch subtitles) online. EBay shops generally have it for about $20-25.
