Angel's Hair Was Too Fat

Needed to trim the sides.

his hair was fine. Although they never explained how he's able to style it considering he cannot see his reflection in most cases. Ideas?

reply

Maybe thats why he chose to have straight hair? He just needs to gel it and brush it straight up. He can feel for it to ensure it went straight up as he planned and it keeps his hair out of his eyes while he fights! Also he can go alittle bit longer between haircuts at a barbershop.

Spike on the other hand, he just brushes straight back and flat with pomade. Dyes it with bleach every once in awhile.

But ultimately, they will need to go to a barbershop or have one of their companions just cut their hair for them. I bet Spike had Drusilla do his hair, she seemed the type that would enjoy that level of intimacy. Angel probably had to figure out the straight hair style alone as he left Darla a long time ago and seemed the loner much longer.

so how do both of them style hair? How does Angel's hair grow long in the 70's if he is dead?

reply

I think you hit the nail on the head. Vampire hair doesn't grow. I mean they look the same for centuries, right? If they're 25 when they're bitten, they look 25 forever. Angel's hair is always the same and just needs a little hair gel and a comb and he's good to know. He doesn't need a mirror. The man knows who he is and what he needs to do.

reply

I've combed my hair and also flossed my teeth without a mirror. Its certainly doable.

The lore you claim, does that apply to Buffyverse? I mean it looks like Angels hair and Spikes have changed in length over the decades. Angel had short hair in the episode that took place in the 1950's (the one where a demon of the Hyperion Hotel causes mass paranoia) but then we saw 1970's Angel with long hair. Showing the audience his hair does grow. If you look at the DVD art his hair is different lengths and even styled alittle differently each season. That could be explained away as David Boreanaz is a real person that needs haircuts, but I dont think they explicitly state that their hair or fingernails never grow.

Well vampires are "undead". Okay, you make an interesting point. Vampires remain active by drinking blood. I imagine the blood might allow them to grow hair.

But also, I've heard that hair continues growing on corpses anyway.

THE CORPSE DRIES OUT...SHRIVELING...GIVING THE IMPRESSION OF FINGERNAIL AND HAIR GROWTH.

reply

Kowalski, I always imagine you having BIG HAIR.

reply

SHAVED HEAD...DECENT SIZED BEARD THOUGH.

reply

I imagine you have a really BIG HEAD though.

reply

I AM 6'6"...220 LBS...SIZE 16 SHOE...YEAH....MY HEAD IS PROBABLY PRETTY FUCKING BIG.

reply

Okay, you big galoot! 🤣 But 220 is not too fat if you're 6'6. I'm 6'2", 180 pounds. Size 13 shoe. You wanna go on a date?

reply

I AM NOT TOO FAT...JUST BULKY...PASS ON THE DATE...I LIKE THE SHORTIES.

reply

Dude, do you know what "SHORTIES" are in black slang? 🤪

reply

I AM NOT A BLACK GUY.

short·y
[ˈSHôrdē]
NOUN
shorties (plural noun)
a person who is shorter than average (often used as a nickname):

I know you're not. But that's not what it means in black slang.

reply

YOU AREN'T BLACK EITHER...THUS...I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT IT'S MEANING IN BLACK SLANG HAS TO DO WITH ANYTHING.🤨

reply

Kowalski, you don't have to be black to use black slang. In fact, almost all American slang words come from black English.

Cool - really good
Dig – to understand or appreciate
Bad – good or really good
Blade – knife
Strap – gun, usually a pistol
Hood – neighborhood, often where someone grew up
Paper – money
Crib – house, or place of dwelling
Feds – fed

I just explained how they style it. The feel it out and choose styles the can replicate without seeing it. Its easy to do a comb back of your hair without a mirror and keep it that way with gel or pomade.

Your other question, Im unsure. It looks like their hairstyles changed in length as well as style over the years. So it looks like its growing? They would need another companion to cut it, or go to a barber for it at some point.
