PS vs. Gamecube graphics

Are the Gamecube's graphics much improved from the Playstation version? Because every youtube vid I've seen about RE2 has crappy graphics. Does Leon look like a Lego character?

reply

I've played both versions and I haven't noticed any difference

Darn. O well. The game is so damn expensive. $40 for a USED version. I could've sworn that's how much it used to cost when it was new about...5 years ago?

I got mine from amazon (UK) for about £10-20, somewhere around that, what version are you getting, Gamecube or PS version?

I was planning on the Gamecube, because my PC lags too much when playing games.

I got the gamecube version and you can get the extreme battle mode on it, on the PS version i don't think you can, unless its directors cut

O ok cool. Well then I'll still consider it. But the prices of video games have gone up a lot these days...it's annoying.

the best version of the game is the Dreamcast version, the textures are alot smoother and are at a 640x480 resolution. the framerate is at 60fps, even on the PAL version (which proves u can play full speed games wherever u are) and contains features of the PC version.

u certainly cant beat it!

reply

Hmmm...darn I don't have a Dreamcast. I think I'm just gonna stick with Gamecube.

reply

u think that's bad. i got twilight princess for the gamecube for £32 new. found it in my nearest game shop for £35 USED!!!!

reply

Yes, don't you think that's just slightly ridiculous???

reply

I like the Nintendo 64 version for the cool extras it had, but it lacks Extreme Battle and FMV are blurry which is not good.

reply

The GameCube version is a port rather than a redo so it doesn't really take advantage of the GameCube's advanced capabilities. It's basically the exact same game which is why the GC version didn't get grand reviews.
