I played the demo of Resident Evil 3. Until then I hadn't realised how awesome they were, so I went out and bought 1, then played them through in order of realise from there.

By Resident Evil 2 I was fine, even though I find the game even scarier. Just when I first played the game the whole Mansion scenario gave me the creeps, it wasn't nearly as bad to me once I got out of that terrible place

Resident Evil 2. I saw the trailer on a demo disc and it scared the hell out of me. When I got the game, it scared me worse. :o
shareHmmm although it's not a Resident Evil game, the first one i've played is the umbrella chronicles with my friend since he's a great RE fan, and the story of Umbrella Chronicles got me hooked into Resident Evil. Then i bought Resident Evil Director's Cuit immediately after finishing umbrella chronicles...i've recently finished Jill and Chris, also finished Claire A on RE2....the weird thing is that there's no RE2 storyline in Umbrella chronicles

RE1 Director's Cut was the first game I EVER played. It was on a friend's console. That, and Metal Gear Solid were the two games that convinced me to get a Playstation ten years ago.
What a way to be introduced to game consoles. IMO those two (and the rest in their series) are still the top games ever.
It was RE2 (though I had watched someone play RE1:DC). I was about 12/13 at the time and I remember getting banned from playing it when my father walked in as the crocodile's head was exploding, lol. Luckily for me he forgot to confiscate it :D.

RE (the original). Man, there was nothing like it at the time it was released. Opened up a whole new genre and world to me. It's amazing how far the franchise has come.

the first one i ever played was RE2 when i was like 7 and i was at a friends house it was his older sisters game and we weren't really supposed to play it but we diddnt know and we tried it i died right at the start and it really scared me i decided to never play again then in like 2002 (i was like 11) my nebor who was only 5 wanted me to try a game he had and i tried it again took me a little time to realize it was the same game but from that point on i was hooked resident evil 2 is still my all time favorite game in the series and maybe my favorite game of all time

RE1 back in '97 when my brother bought it. I was 15 & became really good, although i was terrified half the time, but thats the fun! My brother however who was 6 years older then me, was to scared to play it!!!
I've played all, except the GC ones, although i hope to get a cheap GC just for those games in the near future. RE2 still remains my favourite game & one of my all time top 5. Leon S. Kennedy was the man!!!

RE 1 for PC. I was lucky to find it for $10 at a computer show, and $10 back then was really cheap.
Everyone (who was usually older than me) would crowd around my computer and watch me play it since everyone else was too scared to play it. Ah, those were the fun times, especially when I knew where the shocks were going to happen.

I started late. My first was Resident Evil 4. I really loved it and made me want to play all the others. After 4, the others were challenging, what with pre-rendered backgrounds and all, but I got used to it. I just finished 0 a few weeks ago, and I beat 1 this morning after two loooooooong nights of gaming. Then I spent all of today beating Leon's story in 2. Let's see if I can complete all of Claire's story tomorrow...
