Kenyan woman dying (SPOILERS)

I could barely watch the moving scene when Jettel finds the Kenya woman under a tree dying; and she comes face to face with the Kenyan natives's ways of death, which in her eyes is harsh.

That scene was just wrenching. You had to wonder if it was more than Jettel's humanity that caused her to react so strongly and reach out to the dying woman to comfort her.

She had just found out her own mother and sister were being sent to their deaths...so it was like that was a part of her at that moment, and somehow comforting the older woman as she lay dying was something she could do for her, but something she was being denied to give to her own mother.

That aspect to me was just soul destroying.

And it made me wonder if that was included in the film to show just that situation for Jettel--she comforted where she could, as her own mother suffered in death elsewhere at the hands of monsters.
