I see that Chris Noel is playing a character named Sue Ann Mobley. Is this supposed to be a take-off on Mary Ann Mobley?

Its gotta be a take-off of Mary Ann, though have not found any information why.

I read that Chris and Mary Ann did not get along on the set. Chris said that Mary Ann was difficult to work with and Chris considered Mary Ann to be Miss High and Mighty.
