Did they ever explain how Jimmy got in the Klan?

I was watching a documentary on the Klan and they were saying how Anti-Catholic they were. One even quoted saying that "The best way to cure a Catholic is to kill them." So with that kind of thinking I just wonder how Jimmy who came from an Irish-Catholic family was able to get into the Klan? Anybody know?

The way I remembered it was tat Jimmy was not a bigot growing up and was very close to his black nanny. As a young teen he found out from her that his father was having affairs. He transferred his anger from his father to all blacks and his hard grew from there.

All the same, he had always been a Catholic and the Klan back then was not accepting of Catholics so how did he join?

Maybe he just got by on his looks and lied about his heritage?

reply

Yes the KKK is anti-Catholic. I do not know how he got in unless he renounced his faith, or became protestant. Never understood how the Klan could call themselves Christian, but they are protestant Christian, self proclaimed anyway.

That's what they claim anyway. I was thinking today how ironic it would be if it turned out they had no religious beliefs whatsoever and only put on that huge act to deliberately try and make Christians look stupid and hateful and hypocritical and evil.
