last episode?

I always thought when watching it on TV that the last episode was the one where Carry leaves for the summer and Kevin chases after her and we're left with the cliffhanger of what happens next. But on imdb thats the second to last episode and the last one is where Kevin skips work to go to a game and Mary-kate goes gothic which was aired a couple of months after what i thought was the season 1 finale. Why is this out of place? Any ideas?

The last episode, in terms of order of events in the story, of Two Of A Kind is "The Goodbye Girl" which is the one where Carrie leaves to go to South America for the summer, like you described.

But another episode was aired on TV in America 3 months after that episode called "Kevin Burke's Day Off" where Kevin takes a day off work to go to a game with Carrie, again like you described.

This episode, that aired last, seems to take place either before or after "The Odd Couples" which is the 19th episode. This is what I got from Wikipedia. And if you look at the production code of the "Kevin Burke's Day Off" episode - 467819 - it would suggest that it goes after "The Odd Couples" which has a production code of 467818.

Basically, I think the "Kevin Burke's Day Off" episode fits in somewhere amongst the Two Of A Kind series, but they decided not to include it in the series at first, then changed their mind later and aired it 3 months after the season finale was aired.

I'm glad they did air and release it because it's my favorite episode (outside of "The Goodbye Girl").

"Do you even remember what you came here to find?"

There was an error. They originally decided not to show Kevin burke's day off, but after the season finale episode "The goodbye girl", they decided to air it. It was called a "burn off" decision in the series.
